October, 2015 - Dear i Sailor users, As a new i Sailor release is coming soon, it's our duty to warn the users who had previously purchased Hong Kong area charts that starting from this update, Hong Kong charts will no longer be available for use in our application (will be removed).
The Hong Kong charts will be pulled by order of a Hong Kong authority banning any third party (Transas Marine in our case) to sell cartographic data produced by them.
Sincerely yours, Transas i Sailor team October, 2015 - Dear i Sailor users, All the winners of the Ocean Medi Cup Regatta 2015 received gift certificates from Transas containing promo-codes for free download of i Sailor chart folios. This applies not only to us, but to all our good competitors as well. Therefore, we do NOT recommend to update i Sailor to those users who would like to keep their Hong Kong area charts until this situation is resolved (the outcome is still unclear). She was the first foreign-flagged vessel to complete this journey in over a century.Tanui was manned by only two persons: Australian skipper John Vallentine and his indispensable crew member Maxine Maters, originally from the Netherlands, whose fluent Russian made this trip happen.
